The post-festival funk

You know that feeling when you have so much to say, but am so overwhelmed by all the things you have to say, that not a single words finds its way out of your head and into the world? That is where I have been finding myself the past few days. I call it ‘the post-festival funk’. Lovingly so, I might add.

So, last weekend was the Stockholm Sewing and Crafts Festival, which I attended for the second time. This time it was a lot smaller than the one in October, but I had equal amounts of fun, and met so many amazing people. The only thing I wish I had had more time for, would be to be able to do a bit more shopping myself while at the festival. But ah well, it is what it is. 🙂

I am not going to try to recap all the things that happened, it is, like I said, utterly overwhelming still and I can’t seem to find the words. Also, I did mention a few things in my last knitting podcast, so feel free to have a look at that to see what I came home with from the festival, amongst other things:

Oh, and come to think of it – I do say in this video that my sewing podcast will be up on Tuesday night, which it was not. I have decided to do the sewing episodes every other week instead, as I have quite a lot of knitting projects in the pipeline, which needs to take presedence over my sewing at the moment. So in order to have some decent sewing content as well, I shall attempt to do that every other week instead.

Did you see my booth at the festival by the way?:

My booth.

I really can’t wait to do it again this fall, and I would love to have a bigger booth then. Fingers crossed, ey? 🙂

Everyone is ready and they just announced over the PA that the festival is opened. And they just opened the doors at the far end of the hall, and people are starting to come onto the floor. <3

I did not take much more photos than these two, the rest of the time I was talking to people, or knitting when I had the opportunity. I made a hat, i.e:

A simple hat pattern in Lane Mondials ‘Biolana’.

The hat is now getting a friend, as I decided I would write up this pattern for you, but hadn’t made any notes other than the ones living in my head. Better knit the hat once more then, to make sure I get everything right, right?

A hat and a half (or two thirds).

I have also been feeling this knit the past week, oddly enough:

My knitted tights, that now all of a sudden are at a point where they are actually getting legs. Wow.

You know what? I am too tired to make sense tonight, so I am going to finish right here, knit a few rows on ‘the Weekender’ by Andrea Mowry, and just enjoy the fact that I took the first run of the year today, and that it felt awesome even though I have absolutely no stamina for running at the moment. But it will come. So until next time, be well, take care of your selves, and knit loads! 😀

‘The Weekender’, which I am boldly attempting to make in DK, even though the pattern calls for worsted.
